“Acknowledging the alarming rates of unemployment has motivated us to be the change we want to see. Our main goal is to mobilize stakeholders with a mindset of actively and meaningfully contributing to the development of Zambia,” said Manic Creatives Managing Director, Imanga Kayama.

The event was hosted in collaboration with EscarArts, a student-run organisation at the University of Zambia which promotes creative art and entrepreneurship.

“We wish to establish a long-term relationship with Manic Creatives to bring youths of our age closer to understanding digital marketing,” said Aaron Mondoka, CEO of EscarArts.

Manic Creatives and EscarArts joined forces in order to effectively reach youth with opportunities and interventions in the key areas of Employment, Entrepreneurship, Education and Engagement.

“The recent State of the Nation address by the President of Zambia woke us up to the fact that we cannot work in isolation of the youth in this country. While Government’s solution is to direct more funding towards ICT policy, Manic Creatives is dedicated to implementing these solutions in collaboration with willing key players of the Zambian economy,” said Manic Creatives Operations Director, Kasolo Lewanika.

Future events are slated to focus on creating direct opportunities for the development of youth in Zambia by facilitating internships and apprenticeships; thereby, enhancing digital skills.
